Environmental Variability of Thousand Kernel Weight in Maize Hybrids of Different Maturity Groups

نویسندگان

چکیده

Thousand kernel weight (TKW) is an important yield component trait affected by the environmental conditions. This study’s objectives were to determine variability for TKW in 32 maize hybrids, sorted four FAO maturity groups (FAO300, 400, 500 and 600), compare 12 environments Croatia (six locations two years) according joint linear regression stability analyses across groups. In general, effects of environment, genotype, their interaction (GEI) significant. A three-factor ANOVA revealed greatest highly significant year effect, while location effect was non-significant all analysis did not detect any preferences with regard trends It indicates that Pannonian region included this study suitable evaluation genotypes belonging The seems be appropriate yield-component breeding due a high heritability GEI nature.

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

In situ Rumen Degradation Characteristics of Maize, Sorghum and Sorghum-Sudan Grass Hybrids Silages as Affected by Stage of Maturity

This research was conducted to investigate in situ degradation characteristics of maize, sorghum and sorghum-Sudan grass hybrids. whole plant of maize (TTM-815, DK-711), sorghum (SS-506, FS-5) and sorghum × Sudan grass hybrids (P-988, Grazer N2) were grown under semi-arid conditions and harvested at different maturity stages (mid-flowering (MF), milk-line (ML) and hard-dough (HD)) and ensiled. ...

Agronomic and Photosynthetic Characteristics of Different Maize Hybrids in Response to Water Deficit Stress at Different Phenological Stages

The aim of present study was to evaluate the effects of drought stress on net photosynthesis rate (Pn), stomatal resistance, water use efficiency (WUE) and biomass (BM) of six maize (Zea mays L.) hybrids. Drought stress applied by withholding water supply at 4-5 leaf stage (S1, vegetative stage), anthesis (S2, reproductive stage), and dual stress condition (S3, combination of vegetative and rep...
